No. BIG NO. With the exception of being over the age of 19, a boudoir session is for EVERY woman! Age, size, shape, or any other category is not a factor in coming to the studio. You are worth it, JUST AS YOU ARE. This is a huge reason why having a shoot is important- getting past self-criticism and seeing yourself through eyes of love. The women on this site are just like you. They just took the step and we made incredible photos for them using the best posing and flattering light! Trust me!

Sessions take place in the private studio of Wendy Wilson Photography in Daphne, AL. The two-story space is located on the secluded grounds and private property of historic Malbis. With a dedicated Boudoir room, changing room with full studio wardrobe, and even outdoor options, you can have your dream shoot!

Most women do bring options for outfits, or have fun and go shopping for the occasion! However, you are welcome to come empty-handed and use any of the items in the studio wardrobe. During your session consult, we go into detail about options, depending on the look and feel you want to achieve. 

The most exciting part! You will come back to the studio for your photo viewing appointment with Wendy. This is when you will see your edited images and make selections for your album. Meeting in person is super helpful in this process. So many amazing photos can be a tad overwhelming. Wendy will go through the entire gallery with you several times and help you make decisions that work for you. 

As a studio policy, Wendy only photographs implied nudity. Celebrating the female form is part of boudoir and can make incredibly beautiful, artful images. However, you are never expected to remove clothing. It is always your choice, your decision, and your comfort zone that will be respected at all times. 

Not unless you give permission.

You won't see a huge selection of boudoir portfolio images on this site or on social media, even though Wendy has been shooting the genre for 10+ years. Why? Because Boudoir is an intimate experience and the philosophy here is that most images aren't for the whole wide world to see. However, anytime you give permission to share your images, it can help others have courage to do it for themselves. After your session, you will be given the option to say Yes, No, or Yes with caveats to sharing your images. In other words, we take your privacy very seriously.

Moral support from your BFF can be a huge thing, and plus, it's fun! You can always bring a friend to your session, provided that they are positive, encouraging, and do not interfere with the shoot or posing. This is Wendy's job, and she's got your back on what looks best and where your hair should go and what to do with your hands. Hard and fast rule is: No MEN. Sorry, fellas. 

Images are hand retouched, removing things like acne and bruising, smoothing the skin, and taming wild hairs. You will see yourself in the best possible light! This is accomplished with posing specific to your body type and beautiful lighting. Rest assured and be confident in the fact that we are celebrating YOU, not a false version of you made in Photoshop. That's important.

This is entirely up to you. The only fee required to book your photoshoot is the Session fee which reserves your time at the studio as well as your Makeup artist. All photos are purchased separately from the Session fee. We have a variety of collections available for each budget. The average collection purchase is between $1800 - $5000. You are never obligated to purchase, and you only order what you love. Be prepared though, seeing yourself in such a beautiful light, you are going to want more than you think! Most clients want them all! 

We offer easy, flexible payment plans with no interest as long as payments are made on time. Choose from either 6 payments made bi-weekly or 4 payments once a month. All products and digitals are delivered once your order is paid in full.
