Your portrait experience starts with a phone or email consultation to plan your session style and outfits. On the day of your session, if you choose to add makeup, you begin with our professional makeup artist creating the look and style you want. Then it's on to your photo shoot where Wendy will guide you in posing and facial expression to create a beautiful portfolio of images to choose from at your reveal appointment. The goal is to help you look and FEEL like the beautiful and strong woman you already are, even if you don't see yourself that way - Yet.

FAQs

Where will my session take place? Do you have a studio?: Yes! Sessions take place in the private studio of Wendy Wilson Photography in Daphne, AL. The historic, two-story space is located on secluded private property and offers beautiful natural light and hardwood floors. The grounds offer a variety of scenery from majestic oaks to wide open spaces to cool architectural elements.
Do you offer mini sessions?: No. The session allows us the time needed to be creative and achieve unique photos for your style and needs.
What's included in the Session Fee?: The session fee includes your photo shoot with Wendy, use of the private studio and wardrobe, retouching of your images, and your studio reveal appointment with Wendy to see your finished images and make selections for your order. Prints, products, and digital files are available for purchase after your session. You are never under any obligation to make a purchase. You only order what you love.
When and How do I view my photos?: This is the best part!! About a week or two after your session, you will come back to the studio for your photo viewing appointment with Wendy. This is when you will see all of your edited images and make selections. The problem is that you will be presented with a gorgeous portfolio of photos and will want them all! This is why meeting in person is super helpful in the process. So many amazing photos can be a tad overwhelming. Wendy will go through the entire gallery with you several times and help you make decisions that work for you. For security (and the overwhelm factor mentioned), photos are typically not placed online for ordering.
When can I have my Session?: Sessions take place on weekdays, depending on availability. There is the occasional option for a Saturday, but it's rare. Contact to find out about availability!
Can you Photoshop my scar, bruise, acne, etc?: Short answer, yes. Your images will undergo a full retouch which includes removing any temporary things like acne or bruising. However, this does NOT mean changing you to look like someone else. That's just not what we're going for here. You will certainly see yourself in the best possible light, and this is always accomplished with posing specific to your body type and beautiful lighting. You will get magazine model treatment in things like smoothing the skin, taming wild hairs, stylized editing, and sometimes a little adjustment when the camera lens causes distortion. But rest assured and be confident in the fact that we are celebrating YOU, not a photoshopped false version of you. That's important.

Session Fee for Maternity + High School Seniors is $650 and includes:

Private Photoshoot at our historic studio
Expert Coaching + Posing
Hand Editing and Retouching of Photos
Photo Reveal + Ordering Appointment
$400 credit toward your purchase of photos

Our session fee is $650 and includes a credit of $400 for you to use toward your photo collection at your reveal appointment. What you choose to spend is entirely up to you! You don’t have to make any choices until your reveal session when we will go through your images together. Collections start at $1490.
