Let’s count the ways I adore this Farm Market-Autumn-Sunset-Campfire-Nature Engagement session:
– The Farm Market. The textures, the tomatoes. Two crazy kids in love having their photos made while everyone else shopped for collards and beans.
– The Light. Oh my goodness the sweet heavenly insanely-exhilarating-to-a-photographer light of a perfect fall afternoon. SWOON.
– The BIRDS. Speaking of exhilarating, sneaking up on an entire peanut field FULL of migrating blackbirds and having them all swirl as one body around our heads – A moment where I wanted so badly to capture the vastness of what we were seeing on camera yet just stood still long enough to experience that intensity for myself – the sounds of what seemed like thousands of murmuring, beating wings enveloping us in a display of power and stillness, strength and delicacy. A moment of pure awe at our Creator.
– The campfire. As if all of the above wasn’t enough, we finished up with a fire pit and a warm, cozy blanket and that was like the cherry on top of the icing on top of the best cake ever.
– Alice + Zach. The couple. These two have something electric and gorgeous. Young love that is waiting in such eager anticipation for the day they are united as husband and wife. Their story isn’t really mine to tell, but I will say sometimes God has a very specific and very clear way of letting you know what path to take. And when you know, you just know. I can’t believe I get to be there to capture their vows in January. It’s going to be a beautiful, spiritual, happy-tears-filled day blanketed in peace from above. I can’t wait. And I think everyone is going to have to pick their jaws up off the floor when they see this bride in her beauty. Especially the groom!
