This is rustic, beautiful October wedding in Fairhope took place at a private home with a reception at Oak Hollow Farm. I remember sitting behind Megan – then she was still Miss Budlong – at church. It wasn’t long after she had been engaged to the love of her life, Mr. Curry Sanders. I remember sitting there (honestly I think I was admiring her adorable hair - she has amazing style) and I thought to myself, I would absolutely love to shoot her wedding. We hadn’t ever carried on any lengthy conversation, maybe just actually spoken a hello in passing. But without knowing her, I still knew her, if that makes sense. I knew she was one of those people who is exactly how you imagine her. I imagined she was a woman of integrity and dignity with a sweet, lovely presence that bubbled up from deep within. And after serving as her wedding photographer and just being around her with friends and family gathered, my thoughts were all confirmed as fact. She is, indeed, more amazing on the inside than all the beauty you see here on the stunning outside. The wedding was so intimate and spiritual, full of joy and faith. It was just full of an intangible yet so real peaceful feeling that permeated the entire day. From the adorable First Looks with grandmothers, bridesmaids, and dad, to the overflow of tears from Curry when he saw her walking toward him to become his wife – it was all like a fairy tale. Except it wasn’t make-believe. It was and is real life for these two who have committed to trust God and each other on the most amazing journey! I am so grateful I got to be there and be a part of something so special and rare. Thank you, Megan, Curry, and your families for that honor!
